Alexandra Lopes is a PhD researcher at the Embedded Systems Group of TU Delft, collaborating with the Radio Research Group at NOKIA Bell Labs, in Finland.
With a background in Biomedical Engineering and a specialization in bio-radars from NOVA University of Lisbon, Alexandra has been contributing to projects in radiofrequency sensing and software development since 2020. She has worked across both academic and industrial settings, developing innovative solutions and intellectual property for startups, while expanding her expertise in cutting-edge technologies. She also holds a degree from Porto University, with experience in user-centered design, which plays a key role in product development.
Passionate about transforming academic research into real-world applications, Alexandra is driven by the goal of creating impactful solutions that advance sensing and communication systems. Her research interests include signal processing, with a focus on repurposing existing radiofrequency systems to develop new sensing products for diverse industries.
