Fabian Portner
DC5

Fabian is a Ph.D. candidate in the Embedded Systems group at the Delft University of Technology. His research focuses on advancing WiFi sensing by improving data usability and developing frameworks that bridge the gap between theoretical advancements and practical applications. His work emphasizes making sensing technologies more robust, reliable, and accessible for end-users.
He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Physics, as well as a B.Sc. in Mathematics, from the University of Cologne. Prior to his Ph.D. journey, he gained industry experience as a Software Engineer in Automotive R&D at Vector Informatik. He began his doctoral research under the guidance of Arash Asadi and Matthias Hollick at TU Darmstadt, later transitioning to Delft to continue his work in WiFi sensing.

Beyond Sensing, Fabian is passionate about mathematics, hardware systems, and privacy, with a strong interest in bridging theoretical insights and practical implementations in wireless communication and sensing technologies.
