Florian Kosterhon is a Ph.D. candidate in the Embedded Systems group at Delft University of Technology. As part of the 6th Sense Project, his research focuses on robust millimeter-wave communication and sensing in smart environments. He is particularly interested in physical-layer techniques for secure communication, object detection, and tracking. His work combines theoretical development with practical validation using advanced wireless testbed infrastructures.
Florian holds a Master’s degree in IT Security and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, both from TU Darmstadt, where he focused on security for embedded and wireless communication systems. His expertise includes physical-layer security, FPGA-based system design, low-level firmware development, and the design and implementation of experimental platforms for real-world wireless research.
He is passionate about developing novel techniques that bridge the gap between academic research and practical deployment in next-generation wireless technologies.
