I am an Associate Professor in the Embedded Systems Group at the Computer Science Department at TU Delft. My research interests include Embedded AI for IoT and 6G, as well as Visible Light Communication and Sensing. I am a co-founder of both the Embedded AI Lab at TU Delft and the OpenVLC platform. I teach Embedded Software (CSE2425)and Visible Light Communication & Sensing (CESE4110). I coordinate the MSCA Doctoral Networks project ANT on Embedded AI Systems and Applications; I am also the PI at TU Delft for the MSCA Doctoral Networks project 6thSenseand the MSCA Staff Exchange project HarmonicAI. I have received nine paper awards, including six Best Paper Awards (IEEE WoWMoM 2024, ICC 2023, EWSN 2023, and ACM SenSys 2022, etc.) and three Best Paper Runner-Up Awards (EWSN 2022, ACM MobiCom 2020, and CoNEXT 2016). I am a senior member of IEEE, an executive committee member of the IEEE Benelux COM/VT Chapter, a board member of Benelux WIC, and a member of ACM.

From June 2017 to March 2020, I was an FWO Postdoctoral Researcher in the Networked Systems Group at KU Leuven, Belgium. Prior to that, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the ENS Group at TU Delft. I received my Ph.D. degree from the IMDEA Networks Institute as well as the University Carlos III of Madrid in 2016, and my B.E. and M.S. degrees from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2008 and 2011, respectively.
